Lalor Joins Sen. Larkin to Commemorate Pearl
Harbor Day
Peekskill, NY/December 7, 2007 -
Today, Kieran Michael Lalor, the Republican candidate for
Congress seeking to unseat freshman Democrat John Hall, joined
Senator Bill Larkin at the Torches Landing in Newburgh to honor
those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor.

“It was humbling to join my fellow veterans
as we remembered the heroes who sacrificed their lives at Pearl
Harbor,” said Lalor. “We cannot forget the sacrifices made
through the generations that have preserved our freedoms. The
men and women who have valiantly fought for our country’s
freedom are a tribute to the indomitable American spirit.”
Veterans from World War II, Korea, and
Vietnam gathered along the Hudson River for a ceremony
commemorating Pearl Harbor Day. The New York Military Academy
band played the national anthem and was led by a Marine Corps
color guard. Veterans placed wreaths into the river to remember
the fallen heroes. Anthony Buccieri of the Catholic War
Veterans, a veteran of World War II, organized the event.
Senator Larkin, the event’s main speaker,
paid a touching tribute to the veterans of World War II. Larkin
praised the World War II generation for answering the call to
defend America’s freedom and honor. Lalor attended the event as
a guest of Sen. Larkin. The two met earlier in the week to
discuss Lalor’s campaign and the issues that will be important
to voters over the next year.
“Sen. Larkin has a wealth of experience and
was able to offer his knowledgeable insight into the campaign.
Larkin is eager to see a strong Republican candidate unseat John
Hall,” added Lalor.
