Lalor Meets with NY Conservative Party
Chairman Mike Long, who calls Lalor “passionate and quite
decisive on conservative principles and values”
Peekskill, NY/December 2, 2007 – Kieran Michael Lalor,
the Republican candidate for Congress seeking to unseat
first-term Democrat John Hall, met today with New York State
Conservative Party Chairman Mike Long and says that he and Long
enjoyed a long, productive discussion about Lalor’s candidacy,
the Hudson Valley, and issues that are important to
conservatives here.
“I met with Kieran Lalor, and on issue after issue he’s
passionate and quite decisive on conservative principles and
values,” said Long.
“We are very happy with the meeting,” said Lalor. “Mike Long is
a principled and outspoken leader on issues that are the core of
Ronald Reagan’s conservative revolution. Long expressed support
for our conservative agenda and the principles this campaign
stands for, and obviously we’re pleased with that. I
appreciated the advice and insight of a fellow former Marine.”
Lalor, who formally announced his campaign at the American
Legion Post in Peekskill on November 18th, said his
campaign is gathering momentum. “We’ve been meeting with
conservative and party leaders throughout the District, and they
have been very supportive. Fundraising is moving ahead, and
we’re building the infrastructure we’ll need. We have full-time
staff and a Campaign Manager, we’re about ready to open our
headquarters, and volunteers have been streaming in. Our
message of steadfast, conservative leadership is being heard
loud and clear.”
Lalor said the campaign will soon begin releasing statements
detailing his beliefs and policy proposals on issues like the
sanctity of life, education, immigration, and others. “We want
people to know where we stand on issues, and what I believe.
This will help get the campaign’s message out to voters.”
