Peekskill, NY/December 21, 2007 – Kieran Lalor, the Republican candidate for Congress challenging Democrat John Hall in New York's 19th Congressional District, today announced an important endorsement from the National NYCPD 10-13, the organization that represents all retired New York City Police Officers. The National 10-13 is headquartered in New City in Rockland County and has eight chapters around the country, including one in the Hudson Valley that has more than 1,000 members .
"The NYCPD 10-13 is proud to endorse Kieran Lalor," said James Ferguson, of Stony Point, the organization's National President. "Kieran has demonstrated the kind of leadership and tenacity that it will take to defeat John Hall and restore much-needed leadership in Washington. He is a credit to the Hudson Valley and a creative problem solver. We were very impressed with Lalor's solid, District-wide plan to defeat John Hall ."
"Obviously, we are very pleased with the endorsement," said Lalor. "The 10-13 brings together an important constituency in the Hudson Valley , and we're very proud to have their support. This kind of early support demonstrates the kind of grassroots momentum we are already building just weeks after announcing my candidacy."
Concluded Lalor, "This is another indication that grassroots voters like veterans and first responders are the backbone of our campaign of issues, ideas and solutions."
