Lalor Condemns Rep. Hall for
Deceitful, Hypocritical Attack on Limbaugh
Peekskill, NY/October 9, 2007 – John Hall is leading his fellow Democrats
in the smear campaign against Rush Limbaugh by introducing
legislation to
condemn the talk show titan. Kieran Michael Lalor
responded with pointed
criticism for Hall’s disingenuous attack on Limbaugh.
“Hall is
manufacturing a controversy to draw attention away from the
Democrats’
embarrassment about MoveOn.org’s slander of Gen. Petraeus,” said
Lalor.
“Hall knows that the Democrats like Hall have allied themselves
with a
defeatist, anti-military group. He is faking right while
staying on the
far left.”
On Limbaugh’s September 26 broadcast, a caller who had served in
Iraq
complained to Limbaugh that the media seemed to only show the
troops
opposed to the war. It appeared to the caller that the
media was ignoring
those who believe in the sacrifices they have made for their
country and
the Iraqis.
Limbaugh then related the story of Jesse Macbeth, according to
Limbaugh a
“phony soldier.” Macbeth became a darling of the anti-war crowd
when he
described the atrocities in which he alleged he participated
while an Army
Ranger in Iraq. A transcript of a video featuring Macbeth
was translated
into Arabic and widely circulated in the Middle East.
Macbeth, though,
never set foot in Iraq. In fact, he did not even finish
boot camp,
lasting only six weeks in the Army. But the damage was
done before
Macbeth’s background was examined. The Arab public
was exposed to
Macbeth’s fictions about American soldiers executing children
and
murdering worshippers in a mosque.
“Hall understands the context of Limbaugh’s comment. He
knows Limbaugh
was speaking about actual phony soldiers, liars who are
endangering
American lives,” Lalor said. Lalor then noted the many
prominent elected
Democrats who have disparaged American troops in the past.
Among the
Democrat insults to the troops:
•Sen. Durbin’s comparison of American soldiers to Nazis.
•Sen. Kerry’s claim that Americans were “going into the homes of
Iraqis in
the dead of night terrorizing kids and children, women…’
•Sen. Obama’s claim that Americans were recklessly killing
civilians
with
air raids.
•Sen. Kerry’s suggestion that the military was populated by the
stupid
and
lazy.
•Rep. Murtha’s slander of innocent Marines as cold-blooded
killers.
“The Democrats have spent the war taking slanderous shots at American
servicemen and women,” Lalor continued. “They are in
bed with radical
groups like MoveOn.org. Now they are purposefully twisting
the comments
of Limbaugh. I would like to see Hall angry about his
Democratic
colleagues’ actual slander of troops, not Limbaugh’s efforts to
ferret
out the poseurs the Left uses for propaganda.”
