First John Hall opponent
Soon after Democrat John Hall’s upset win in the 19th Congressional District, speculation began on the Republican challengers who would line up to win back the seat held for a dozen years by Sue Kelly, a Katonah Republican.
The first to officially announce is Kieran Michael Lalor a Peekskill Republican who served with the Marine Corps in Iraq.
Lalor says his Congressional exploratory committee has raised more than $20,000 in a month using the website www.KML2008.com.
“The early support for my candidacy is confirmation that voters in the district are excited to embrace a true conservative,” said Lalor, a Wappingers Falls native who established an organization called the Eternal Vigilance Society, which he says is “dedicated to winning the war on terror.”
