Peekskill, NY/March 13, 2007 – Yesterday, Kieran Lalor and Iraq
Veterans for Congress, Lalor's coalition of eleven pro-victory
Iraq veterans running for Congress, were recognized at the
National Republican Campaign Committee's March Dinner.
After a passionate speech from President Bush, Congressman
Darrell Issa introduced each veteran running as a candidate for
the House of Representatives. As Issa called each name, the
veterans stood and were

recognized with an enthusiastic round of
applause. The dinner concluded with a touching tribute to the
Congressmen who have served in the military and the presentation
of the Ronald Reagan Award to Congressman Sam Johnson, a Vietnam
veteran who survived seven years in a POW camp.
"I am grateful to Congressman Issa for hosting Iraq Veterans for
Congress. He understands the leadership potential in the slate
of veterans running for Congress," said Lalor. "We are
determined to restore responsible leadership to Washington. The
Republican Party stands firmly behind our efforts."
