Lalor political sign defaced

A political sign outside Republican Kieran Michael Lalor's headquarters in the Town of East Fishkill was "defaced," campaign manager Chris Covucci said.

Lalor is running against Rep. John Hall, D-Dover, in the 19th Congressional District.

Outside the office, the Lalor campaign placed a giant advertisement saying "Pain at the Pump? Blame John Hall." The sign also says a gallon of gas cost $2.31 when Hall took office 18 months ago, but gas now costs more than $4. An unknown person covered "John Hall" with the name "George Bush," Covucci said.

Covucci said campaign staff were able to fix the sign. The office did not file a police report.
